- Johnny A. was recently in Indianapolis to take part in a recording project to benefit the relief of hurricane Katrina victims.  Others involved in the project, Kenny Aronoff, (Mellencamp, Smashing Pumpkins, Mellisa Ethridge) Will Lee, (David Letterman Band) Peter Stroud, (Sheryl Crow, Pete Yorn) and others.  While in Indy, JA was invited to play live on the Bob and Tom radio show which is the #1 rated morning show in the country heard in over 150 markets.  The exposure on the show skyrocketed the sales of both of Johnny's CD's, "Get Inside" and "Sometime Tuesday Morning", on amazon.com making them the #1 & 2 "movers and shakers" respectively.

- Johnny was thrilled to be a part of Jame's Burton's Guitar Festival in Shreveport, LA. Surrounded by a host of top guitarists as well as some of his influences was a fantastic experience. Artists at the concert included: Jeff "Skunk" Baxter (Doobie Brothers/Steely Dan), The Nelsons, Joe Osborn, Alabama's Jeff Cook, Johnny Rivers, Johnny Hiland, Greg Koch and Roscoe Beck, Seymour Duncan, Jerry Donahue (The Yardbirds), Sonny Landreth, Eric Johnson, Doyle Dykes, Dr. John, Steve Cropper, Brad Paisley and Steve Wariner. The event raised money for the James Burton Foundation, dedicated to providing musical scholarships and instruments to children and young adults. In addition, Johnny presented James with a humanitarian award on the behalf of Gibson Guitars as their representative!

July '05
- Johnny will be appearing at the Celebration of the Sea First Annual Music and Film Festival to be held on Saturday, July 30th in Key Largo, Florida. Also appearing will be Chuck Berry, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Victoria's Secret supermodel Sabrina Barnett, DMC formerly of Run DMC, Barry Goudreau and Fran Sheehan: Original Members of the Band Boston, Gary Cherone, Mike Mangini, Brian O'Neal of the BusBoys, Gizelle D’Cole, Dave Feder, Éha, Kevens, and Little Boy Flowers. - Pittsburgh, PA- Johnny is scheduled to shoot his first ever, long-awaited, instructional DVD for Warner Bros. Publications.  The shoot will consist of performance footage of Johnny with the band. In addition, JA will be interviewed explaining his approach to music, tone and gear, as well as demonstrating some of his unique signature guitar stylings.  Release is slated for July '05.



February '05
- NAMM RECAP: Johnny had the honor of jamming with some of the guitar world's leading players, including Steve Lukather (Toto), Albert Lee (Eric Clapton, Everly Brothers, Emmylou Harris), and John Petrucci (Dream Theatre). The 'coup de gras' was playing onstage with the legendary James Burton (Elvis Presley, Ricky Nelson, The Shindogs) at Muriel Anderson's All-Star Guitar Night.

- Johnny was invited to sit in with legendary songwriter Jimmy Webb at his recent show at Sculler's Jazz Club in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Jimmy wrote Wichita Lineman, By The Time I Get to Phoenix, and many other classic songs. See the picture on the Photos page.

- MURIEL ANDERSON'S ALL STAR GUITAR NIGHT® AT WINTER NAMM SHOW
Show features top instrumentalists and variety of musical genres
Muriel Anderson's All Star Guitar Night® is an unique guitar-centric event now in its 14th year.  This NAMM-sponsored show is widely recognized as one of the most prestigious, standing-room-only events of the week. Top-caliber artists from around the world happily jump on the All Star Guitar Night bandstand to help support the cause for the Music For Life Alliance as well as provide an evening of unforgettable music. This year's event will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2005 in the Hilton Ballroom D at 8 PM.

The January ASGN lineup features acclaimed guitarists Muriel Anderson, Kaki King, Monte Montgomery and Johnny A., as well as several other special guests. The January NAMM 2005 show promises to be another spectacular event.

Net show proceeds benefit the Music For Life Alliance, a nonprofit organization founded by Muriel Anderson. This organization provides musical instruments and lessons for underprivileged young people through the support of various music programs nationwide.

-Calabasas, CA based design firm, SilverFrog, was honored with another two American Graphic Design Awards from Graphic Design USA for 2004. The first award was for their design of the ESP Guitars 2004 web site, and the second for the design of the CD Digipak for Boston-based guitarist, Johnny A. -Dallas, TX - Johnny A. Joins Eric Clapton's Crossroads Festival - Johnny A. performed at The Guitar Center Village in Dallas on June 6 as part of Eric Clapton Presents the Crossroads Guitar Festival.

Clapton has organized the festival to raise money for the Crossroads Centre Antiqua, a drug and alcohol rehab facility he founded in 1997.

Community radio station WYCE, 88.1FM, presented the 3rd annual Jammie Awards
Ceremony at UICA located at 41 Sheldon Blvd SE in downtown Grand Rapids, on
Tuesday February 5, 2002. The ceremony presented awards in several categories
based on music played on WYCE and chosen by WYCE Volunteer Programmers. Johnny A. "Sometime Tuesday Morning" was named MUSICIAN OF THE YEAR. In addition to awards given for national releases the highlight of the evening were the awards given to local musicians.
